The 2017 Event is a USAW Sanctioned.
All wrestlers must have a 2017-18 membership to participate
The Virginia Challenge Holiday Duals is a National Level Competition Event that is Sanctioned by USA Wrestling. Each year it is our endeavor to bring in quality, national caliber teams/clubs and wrestlers to one site and compete for the prestigious National Holiday Duals Championships. Check on the pages marked for this years event for details and of the results of previous years.

The new 2017-18 National Federation Wrestling Uniform Guidelines are effective for this event

60 Elementary and 60 Middle School Teams. Every team gets 10 matches.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

Thursday December 7

1pm – Check In and Early weighs for Teams that have Pre-Paid ($100) by December 6th, noon EST
NO MONEY WILLBE COLLECTED AT THE DOOR FOR EARLY WEIGH INS
6pm – Check in and Weigh Ins for all teams/individuals not in Early Weigh ins (12 scales plus 2 check scales)

Friday December 8

8am Building opens
9am Wrestling begins on 40 mats

Saturday December 9

8am Building opens
9am Wrestling begins on 40 mats

Sunday December 10

7:30 am Building opens
8:15 am Church Service on mats
9am Wrestling begins on 40 mats (3 rounds- 9,11,1)

November 19, 2018 Cobra Challenge, Eastern View HS, Middle School and below REGISTER HERE
January 20, 2018: VACW Wrestle Fest, Arthur Ashe Center, Richmond-This is where awards are presented for K-8
March 3, 2018: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior States, Riverbend HS
March 4, 2018 Super States, Riverbend HS
This is where the awards are presented for Grades 9-12

The Official 2016-17 Championship Series Winners!

WOW! Champions and Runner-ups for the Championship Series will earn Free admission to the “All University Wrestling Camp in June. Champs earned a Trophy, along with the Top 3 earned a Special T-Shirt, Wrestling Bag, Free Entry to 2017 I64 and VB Nationals Event this fall.

All Virginia Championship Series

(This award is for Virginia Residents only even though these events are open to out of state wrestlers)

The Virginia Challenge Wrestling Board is initiating a “New’ Championship Series of Events culminating in Awards for top wrestlers in all divisions. The divisions will be K-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8. Wrestlers competing in the VACW Events will earn points by placing in the top 6. The Outstanding wrestlers in each of these age groups will be determined at the end of the season events. The K-8 end of season event will be the Wrestle Fest and Grades 9-12 will be the Wrestle Fest Weekend events. Wrestlers who place in the final event and have the highest total points for the season earn the awards. We will present Trophies to the top 3 in each Division.
