Kyle Snyder the current NCAA, World and Olympic Champion wrestled as an 8th grader on our team, his only loss that season was at the Virginia Challenge National Holiday Duals.

2024 SCHEDLUE

Thursday, December 12

12:30pm: Building Opens

1-2:30pm: Check In and Early weigh ins-

(Team must have a minimum of 24 cumulative Room nights booked to qualify)

5:15pm: Coaches Only Meeting, Packet and Pass pick up

(Upstairs in Sports Center)

6-7:30pm: General Check In and weigh ins for teams not in the early weigh in.

(Any athlete who is on a team and missed the early weigh in will go to the mat that their team was assigned to.)

Friday, December 13

7:30am: Building opens

9am: Wrestling begins on 36 mats, Preliminary Pools 9:00am, 10:30am,12:00pm, Final Pool Rounds Begin 2:00pm, 3:45pm

(do not leave facility, rounds can be ahead if wrestling permits)

Wrestling may end about 6-7pm

9am: Women's Teams begin Round Robin in one pool ; 9:00am, 10:30am,12:00pm, 1:30pm, 3:00pm, 4:30pm

Saturday, December 14

7:30am: Building opens

9am: Wrestling begins on 36 mats

Placement Pool Rounds; 9:00am, 10:45am, 12:30pm, 2:15pm, 4:00pm

9am: Women's Teams begin

Round Robin in one pool; 9:00am, 10:30am, 12:00pm, 1:30pm, 3:00pm, 4:30pm

Team Awards at the completion of each Pool in each Division

CONGRATULATIONS TO FRANK LIPOLI - FATHER OF THE HOLIDAY DUALS

The Virginia Wrestling Community would like to congratulate Frank Lipoli (VACW Executive Director) for being Honored as an Inductee to the 2022 Hampton Roads Hall Of Fame. His years of selfless work and dedication to promoting wrestling events in southeastern Virginia has been honored as a new 2022 Hall of Fame Member. Frank is the Father of the VACW National Holiday Duals which is the Top National Dual Event for Middle School and Elementary School. Multiple participants in the Holiday Duals have gone on to become college All Americans , Olympic Team Members, Olympic and International Champions. Many of these outstanding wrestlers did not even go undefeated at this event. That is the type of competition that attends the Holiday Duals which Frank laid the foundation for.
